Job summary

Imperial Vascular Unit is seeking a pro-active senior nurse with vascular nursing experience to join the Vascular Nurse Specialist team. This role involves autonomous clinical reviews in nurse-led clinics and inpatient services, and coordinating patient-focused pathways for timely management.

The unit is part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, serving NW London; the post involves collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams and a focus on quality improvement and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current UK registration.
• Evidence of post-registration education activity.
• Teaching and Assessing qualification or equivalent teaching experience.
• Post registration experience in a relevant area with experience of change management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care within a vascular disease pathway as the Vascular Nurse Specialist contact.
• Establish and maintain communication within vascular nursing and medical teams, the MDT, and Primary/Tertiary care teams.
• Provide specialist vascular nursing advice to support high-quality, individualised care in collaboration with the MDT.
• Depute for line manager in managing the clinical specialty across settings.
• Provide cover across vascular clinical areas, acting as a role model and contributing to teaching and research.
