Job summary

IC Resources is working with an exciting client in the telecommunications and satellite sector, seeking an experienced Senior Validation Engineer to join their growing engineering team. You’ll work hands-on across chip and system-level testing, with exposure to RF, analogue and high-speed communication technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience with Telecommunications or satellite systems.
• Chip and system-level validation experience.
• Proficiency in analysing analogue, RF and high-speed communication blocks.
• Hands-on experience with SerDes, BERTs, DCAs and high-speed sampling scopes.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment: spectrum analyzers, VNAs/PNAs, signal generators and power meters.
• Automated testing and programming in C, C++ or Python.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• System test planning and development.

Responsibilities

• Planning, estimating and developing system validation and test strategies.
• Validation of complex telecommunications and satellite systems.
• Testing analogue, RF and high-speed communication blocks.
• Working with SerDes and high-speed links.
• Developing automated test environments using C/C++/Python or similar.
• Investigating complex failures and driving issues through to root cause.
• Working closely with hardware, software and systems engineering teams.
• Managing defects and technical knowledge using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Contributing to validation methodologies and continuous improvement.
