Job summary

Technify Talent seeks a Senior Validation Engineer for Edinburgh to join a leading semiconductor company’s Validation Engineering team, driving pre- and post-silicon validation for mixed-signal products.

You will validate ADCs, DACs and PLLs, test embedded circuitry, design validation boards, and build Python-based automated tests while analysing data to identify failures.

Strong collaboration with hardware and software teams is expected to optimize performance and bring first silicon to market.

Qualifications

• Experience with analog or digital chip validation.
• Solid understanding of mixed-signal blocks (ADCs, DACs, PLLs).
• Experience integrating silicon, PCB and software.
• Experience developing automated test solutions with Python or similar scripting languages.
• Experience in post-silicon validation or mixed-signal IP validation.
• Experience with interfaces such as I2C, SPI, USB, I2S and TDM.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute bench-level validation tests across pre-silicon and post-silicon phases.
• Validate mixed-signal ICs against functionality and performance requirements.
• Perform hands-on testing and debugging of embedded circuitry including amplifiers, data converters and power converters.
• Design, develop and debug silicon validation boards and bring-up platforms ahead of first silicon.
• Develop automated validation frameworks and regression test suites using Python.
• Analyse validation data to identify failures, defects and performance issues.
