Job summary

Logic, based in Edinburgh, is seeking a Product Validation Manager to lead a team developing hardware, software, and automation for chip validation and characterization. You will shape test strategies and ensure full coverage across product development and emerging technology.

Ideal candidates bring a strong engineering background, leadership experience, and hands-on skills in characterization, failure analysis, and test development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in electrical engineering with proven experience in silicon test and characterization projects.
• Experience leading engineers or technical projects, whether as a people manager or a technical lead.
• Strong debug skills, aptitude to learn and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and hire.
• Able to handle engineering tasks, on an as needed basis, combining experience in Characterization, Failure Analysis, Test Development, Statistical analysis and Customer Support.
• Mixed Signal background with experience in audio and power analysis.
• Ability to organize assignments and schedule time to complete work you're doing within established timelines.
• Creative & lateral thinker.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for a team that develops hardware, software and automation for chip validation correlation and characterization.
• Drive decisions on test strategies with collaboration between cross functional teams, including Applications and Advanced Technology.
• Own execution of test plans ensuring complete coverage and traceability of feature/system requirements.
• Participate in developing methodologies for chip test and validation from requirements through tape-out.
• Contribute towards the continuous development of Tools, Technology and Flows.
• Foster a culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentorship, feedback, and metrics.
• Develop training and documentation, supporting your team and product development.
• Work with peers to implement best practices and continuous improvements to the company Logic characterization and validation methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with IC Design engineers, Systems engineers, and Application Engineers to collaborate in test and validation methodologies.
