Senior UX/UI Engineer — Fintech Lending Platform

Job summary

Explore Group is seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to own the user experience across its lending platform. The role combines end-to-end product design, design system ownership and front-end development, with a focus on turning complex lending workflows into intuitive interfaces.

You will prototype in code, contribute to a component library in TypeScript, and work closely with product and engineering teams to ship features that are usable, accessible and aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial experience in UX UI or product design for digital products.
• A portfolio demonstrating solutions to complex problems.
• Expert knowledge of Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, tokens and Dev Mode.
• Experience building or maintaining a design system, ideally with tokens mapped to code using Storybook or similar.
• Proven experience translating complex business requirements in finance/tech into accessible interfaces.
• Experience planning and conducting user interviews and usability tests and synthesising findings.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design across complex lending workflows.
• Design and maintain the design system and ensure alignment with the coded components in Storybook.
• Prototype in code when fastest to answer questions; contribute to the component library in TypeScript.
• Collaborate with engineers to ship UI improvements and ensure design intent matches production.
• Build accessible, data-dense interfaces (dashboards, pipelines, forms, documents) and drive usability improvements.
