Job Description:
This role is fully remote.
As part of your role you will be expected to:
Planning & Reporting
- Collaborate with stakeholders, the web team, developers, and leadership to define UX/UI objectives and document design requirements.
- Plan and prioritize the user experience based on various user roles and access levels, ensuring a tailored experience for each audience group.
- Provide regular updates on design progress and flag potential challenges early.
Design & Development
- Design the website and mobile app considering various user experiences and journeys.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for website and mobile app, including role-based access, custom dashboards, and complex data visualizations.
- Ensure an intuitive user experience that integrates Tableau dashboards and presents data effectively.
- Focus on responsive design for accessibility across all devices and platforms.
- Ensure visualizations and content are seamlessly integrated, aligned with the brand, and optimized for engagement and accessibility.
- Design with the potential to transform the website into Android/iOS apps.
Testing & QA
- Conduct comprehensive testing of visualizations, content, and publications across devices.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with relevant teams to validate usability, performance, and accessibility.
- Track and resolve issues to ensure high quality.
Expected experience:
- Proven UX/UI design experience for web applications and apps in data-centric fields like economics or statistics.
- Proficiency with tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, including wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.
- Knowledge of React JS and React Native.
- Experience in designing for role management and access control.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau and their UI integration.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Design, Digital Media, or related fields.
- UX/UI design certifications are a plus.
- Experience designing for role-based data access and customization.
- Certifications in data visualization, content management, or web development are advantageous.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in UX/UI development, content deployment, website, and app development with a strong portfolio.
