Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Utility Surveyor to join our expanding surveying team in London. You will lead utility surveys from site set-up through to completion, delivering accurate data and high-quality drawings using PAS 128, GPR, and EML techniques.

You'll work in a hybrid environment with a focus on safety, standards, and professional development, mentoring junior surveyors, and liaising with clients and engineers to ensure project success across construction and infrastructure

Qualifications

• Experience with PAS 128, GPR, EML and CAD is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and practical surveying skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility surveys from site set-up through to completion.
• Undertake EML and GPR surveys and accurately capture site data.
• Produce and review high-quality survey information and drawings.
• Work to relevant industry standards and maintain excellent H&S practices.
• Support and mentor junior members of the surveying team.

Senior Utility Surveyor

Permanent Role

£40,000 to £55,000 per Annum

Are you an experienced surveyor ready to take the next step in your career?

We're looking for a Senior Utility Surveyor to join a growing surveying department, delivering accurate, reliable data across a range of construction and infrastructure projects.

As a Senior Utility Surveyor, you'll play a key role in planning and delivering utility and geophysical surveys, using industry-standard equipment and modern techniques to identify, trace and map underground services.

The Role

• Lead utility surveys from site set-up through to completion
• Undertake EML and GPR surveys and accurately capture site data
• Produce and review high-quality survey information and drawings
• Work to relevant industry standards and maintain excellent H&S practices
• Support and mentor junior members of the surveying team
• Liaise confidently with clients, engineers and project teams

Candidate Requirements:

• We're looking for a Senior Utility Surveyor with strong practical experience, excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for delivering quality survey data.
• Experience with PAS 128, GPR, EML and CAD is highly desirable, along with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Live within a commutable distance to Oxford or London
