Experienced Utility Surveyor (2+ Years’ Experience)
Job Description

oin our growing Utility Surveying team and apply your technical skills to projects that keep infrastructure safe and efficient across the UK. You’ll be part of a highly experienced, friendly group using advanced technologies — including Electromagnetic Location (EML), Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), GPS, and total stations — to deliver accurate, PAS 128-compliant surveys for clients in the construction, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.

This role is ideal for someone with at least two years of utility or land surveying experience who’s ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive, progressive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out underground utility surveys using EML and GPR, identifying and mapping buried services.
  • Work with state-of-the-art survey equipment such as total stations, GPS, and data collection systems.
  • Produce high-quality CAD drawings and digital survey deliverables in line with industry standards.
  • Interpret utility records, plans, and survey data to support accurate reporting and design integration.
  • Collaborate closely with other disciplines (topographical, BIM, and geospatial) to deliver coordinated results.
  • Maintain equipment and uphold strict health & safety protocols on site.
  • Occasionally travel to sites across the UK, with opportunities for varied fieldwork and project exposure.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant surveying experience (utility, land, or related).
  • Confident using EML and GPR systems; CAD and data processing experience desirable.
  • A keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills — comfortable collaborating in the field and with clients.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred).
  • CSCS card (preferred, though training can be provided).
  • Flexibility to work on varied projects and sites across the UK.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary with regular reviews.
  • Ongoing CPD opportunities and certification support (e.g., Level 3-5 Diplomas in Utility Mapping, Chartership schemes).
  • Clear career progression pathway toward Senior Surveyor roles.
  • Access to high-end equipment and innovative survey methods.
  • Health insurance plan (after probation) and Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Friendly, collaborative, and professional working environment.
  • Opportunity to travel and work on diverse, high-profile projects.
  • Access to a company vehicle with options for personal use.
