Job summary

LRQA is seeking an experienced Utilities Assessor to join our Utilities & Infrastructure Assurance team, focusing on electrical infrastructure. The role involves independent assessments against schemes such as NERS, BOPAS, ISO 55001, PAS 128 and more, with travel across the UK.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within the electricity utility sector.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, assessments or compliance reviews.
• Knowledge of utility industry standards, regulations and governance frameworks.
• Strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Undertake remote and onsite assessments against utility sector standards, schemes and accreditation requirements.
• Evaluate management systems, operational processes, technical documentation and field activities.
• Assess compliance with industry regulations, client requirements and recognised best practice.
• Produce professional audit and assessment reports within agreed timescales.
• Present findings and recommendations to clients and key stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for improvement while maintaining impartiality and independence.
