Job summary

Rubicon People Partnership is seeking a Senior User Experience Designer to own the UX for a high-traffic international ecommerce platform used by technical buyers worldwide. You’ll sit alongside senior stakeholders to set business objectives, lead ideation and decide how great design gets done.

The role combines strategic influence with hands-on design across web and mobile, requiring a proven senior portfolio, strong research skills and experience with Axure or Sketch.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in UX design for ecommerce sites or platforms.
• Proven ability to develop and run user research and usability testing.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating senior-level UX work.
• Experience with Axure and/or Sketch.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to define objectives and turn them into a clear UX direction.
• Leading ideation sessions with UI Designers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and Developers.
• Establishing and facilitating a consistent, repeatable UX process.
• Planning and leading user research and usability testing, turning findings into confident design decisions.
• Identifying design problems and delivering solutions that balance user goals, business requirements and technical constraints.
• Producing user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes for responsive web, mobile apps and content pages.

As a Senior User Experience Designer, your responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with business stakeholders to define objectives and turn them into a clear UX direction
• Leading ideation sessions with UI Designers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and Developers
• Establishing and facilitating a consistent, repeatable UX process
• Planning and leading user research and usability testing, turning findings into confident design decisions
• Identifying design problems and delivering solutions that balance user goals, business requirements and technical constraints
• Producing user flows, wireframes, mockups and proto@types for responsive web, mobile apps and content pages

As a Senior User Experience Designer, your experience will include:

• 6+ years in roles focused on designing user experience and interfaces for ecommerce sites or platforms
• Proven ability to develop and run user research and usability testing
• Experience with industry-related UX software such as Axure and/or Sketch
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A strong portfolio demonstrating senior-level UX work
• Experience of B2B or technical ecommerce is highly desirable
