Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is seeking a Senior User Experience Designer to own the UX strategy for a high-traffic international ecommerce platform. You will partner with senior stakeholders to set objectives, lead ideation, and shape how design work gets done.

This role demands ownership, a track record of measurable UX improvements, and strong collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in ecommerce UX, runs research, and holds a portfolio of senior-level work.

Responsibilities

You’ll own the user experience of a high-traffic, international ecommerce platform used by technical buyers around the world.

You’ll sit alongside senior stakeholders to set business objectives, lead ideation and decide how great design gets done.

As a Senior User Experience Designer, your responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with business stakeholders to define objectives and turn them into a clear UX direction
• Leading ideation sessions with UI Designers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and Developers
• Establishing and facilitating a consistent, repeatable UX process
• Planning and leading user research and usability testing, turning findings into confident design decisions
• Identifying design problems and delivering solutions that balance user goals, business requirements and technical constraints
• Producing user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes for responsive web, mobile apps and content pages

As a Senior User Experience Designer, your experience will include:

• 6+ years in roles focused on designing user experience and interfaces for ecommerce sites or platforms
• Proven ability to develop and run user research and usability testing
• Experience with industry-related UX software such as Axure and/or Sketch
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A strong portfolio demonstrating senior-level UX work
• Experience of B2B or technical ecommerce is highly desirable
