Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust in Frimley is seeking a Band 6 Urology Support Sister/Charge Nurse (Benign Disease) to support the delivery of specialist care for patients with benign urological conditions. The post reports to the Lead Benign Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist and will help develop nurse-led services and clinics.

Qualifications

• Current NMC Registration required.
• Degree in Nursing or working towards.
• Experience in urological nursing and LUTS management.
• Knowledge of audit processes and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Investigating and managing patients with lower urinary tract symptoms
• Arranging diagnostic tests and follow up treatment
• Nurse-led clinics
• Support of patients with continence difficulties
• Provide information and be the point of contact for patients
• Providing nursing support to the consultant team
• Assist and undertake audit projects as required
• Liaison with primary and secondary health teams
• Provide cross-cover to ensure a seamless delivery of patient care
