Job summary

Perrigo is seeking an R&D Manager - Upper Respiratory to drive the category’s innovation and product strategy for cough, cold and related self‑care solutions.

The role combines scientific leadership with business impact, shaping development programs across brands and geographies to deliver consumer‑centric, compliant and commercially viable OTC products. Hybrid working options available.

Qualifications

• University degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with substantial product‑development experience.
• Experience leading formulation, analytical development, stability, registration, scale‑up, and launch.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategies for Upper Respiratory NPD, lifecycle, base‑business and refresh projects from feasibility to post‑launch.
• Translate consumer and commercial needs into technically feasible product concepts and evidence plans.
• Review formulation, analytical, stability, scale‑up and technology‑transfer activities by R&D teams and partners.
• Identify risks early and propose pragmatic, evidence‑based solutions to protect quality and timelines.
• Ensure development programs meet quality, safety, regulatory requirements for OTC medicines and devices where relevant.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration with Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing and Commercial teams and manage external partners.
