Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales invites an experienced pharmacist to join the Unscheduled Care Pharmacy Team at Glan Clwyd Hospital on a maternity cover Band 8a secondment. The post focuses on developing and delivering a high‑quality clinical pharmacy service across ED, AMU, SAU and SDEC.

Qualifications

• MPharm degree or equivalent and General Pharmaceutical Council registration.
• Postgraduate MSc/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent.
• Non‑medical prescribing qualification (or working towards).

Responsibilities

• Provide an advanced clinical pharmacy service across Unscheduled Care (ED, AMU, SAU, SDEC).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective medicine use and support early discharge where possible.
• Contribute to clinical decision-making, medication reconciliation, complex medicines management, prescribing advice and discharge planning.
• Lead and educate junior pharmacy staff and contribute to professional development.
• Participate in leadership, service development, audits, quality improvement and research.
• Work with digital/informatics teams to develop integrated electronic systems for safer medicines and patient flow.
