BCUHB is seeking an experienced pharmacist to join the Unscheduled Care Pharmacy Team at Glan Clwyd Hospital on a Band 8a maternity cover basis. The role supports the development of high‑quality clinical pharmacy services across ED, AMU, SAU and SDEC.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to service development, education, leadership and quality improvement, and advance your clinical practice within a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• MPharm degree or equivalent.
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Post Graduate MSc/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent qualifications/experience.
• Non-medical prescribing qualification (or working towards).

Responsabilidades

• Provide an advanced clinical pharmacy service across Unscheduled Care areas (ED, AMU, SAU, SDEC).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective medicine use and improve patient flow.
• Contribute to clinical decision-making: reconciliation, complex medicines management, prescribing advice, discharge planning.
• Support and lead education, training and professional development of junior staff and wider clinical team.
• Participate in leadership, service development, audit, quality improvement and research activities within Unscheduled Care pharmacy.
• Collaborate with digital/informatics teams to develop integrated electronic systems for medicines safety and continuity of care.
• Support workforce planning and operational management of Unscheduled Care pharmacy service.
• Act as a role model for advanced clinical practice, promoting innovation and patient-centred care.
