Job summary

The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a Pharmacist on a 12-month fixed-term secondment to cover maternity leave in primary care. The post sits within the locality team delivering pharmacy services across community hospitals and GP surgeries in the east of the board's area.

The role focuses on direct clinical care, advising clinicians on safer, evidence-based prescribing, and leading medicines management at local level, with Welsh language skills desirable and a strong

Qualifications

• Must hold MPharm degree or equivalent.
• Postgraduate MSc or clinical pharmacy diploma or equivalent.
• Non-medical prescribing qualification or working towards one.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services at hospitals and GP settings to support safe prescribing.
• Deliver direct clinical care and advise clinicians to improve medication safety.
• Implement evidence-based prescribing choices.
• Lead on medicines management at local level.
• Collaborate with project and cluster leads on priority work streams.
• Carry out patient reviews in pharmacist-led clinics.
• Optimise medicines with a patient-centred approach.
• Work with multidisciplinary locality team.
