Job summary

Epic Games in London, United Kingdom, is seeking an experienced engineer to join Unreal Cloud Services. You will work at the boundary between the editor and cloud, building cloud-enabled collaboration features for the Unreal Editor and guiding it toward future UE6 integrations.

You will collaborate with product and UX teams, work across editor, networking, storage, and backend systems, and leverage AI-assisted programming to improve tooling and workflows for creators.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ skills with experience in large native codebases.
• Experience building user-facing tools and editor features.
• Experience developing clients that interact with asynchronous or networked services.
• Strong understanding of parallelism, networking, latency, and failure handling.
• Good eye for UX and how it affects creator workflows.
• Experience collaborating with Product, UX, and engineering teams.
• Experience with Unreal Engine or similar tools; Rust is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build Unreal Editor features that bring cloud-based collaboration into editor workflows.
• Create responsive editor experiences that interact with asynchronous and distributed services.
• Work across editor, networking, storage, revision control, and UX systems to integrate cloud workflows.
• Collaborate with Product and UX teams to translate ideas into practical editor experiences.
• Partner with backend engineers on features spanning editor and cloud services.
• Utilize modern development practices, including AI-assisted programming, to improve tooling.
