Job summary
Pixel Toys in Leamington Spa is seeking a Senior Programmer to lead the technical quality, stability and performance of our games within the engineering department.
You will own the architecture of features, focusing on audio systems, profiling and optimisation, and drive code reviews, mentoring, and best practices across the team.
With Unity and C# expertise, you will push innovative audio pipelines, explore FMOD integration, and help deliver high-quality mobile and VR titles.
Qualifications
- Seasoned game engineer with strong Unity and C# proficiency.
- Experience architecting complex systems and production workflows.
- Comfort with FMOD and integrating audio into game code.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor peers and uphold coding standards.
Responsibilities
- Own profiling, optimisation, and performance decisions for critical paths.
- Lead architectural development of features and systems from concept to delivery.
- Perform constructive code reviews and mitigate risks early.
- Collaborate across disciplines to maintain high-quality, stable releases.
- Champion best practices and explore new engine technologies (Unity, .NET, AWS).
