Job summary

Pixel Toys in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Programmer to drive the technical quality, stability, and performance of our games. You will own the planning and architectural development of major features, with a primary focus on audio systems within Unity/C# codebase.

You will profile and optimise critical code, perform thorough design reviews, and mentor other engineers while expanding your scope to C# .NET and AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience in game development with Unity and C# engines.
• Strong grasp of architectural patterns, coding standards, and optimisation techniques.
• Proficiency in FMOD and building robust audio pipelines for games.
• Experience delivering commercially released titles across full development lifecycle.
• Ability to estimate tasks in Agile environments and identify risks.

Responsibilities

• Own the planning and architectural development of features and systems.
• Profile and optimise critical game code for performance on mobile hardware.
• Lead code reviews and mentor developers to uphold technical standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leads to translate creative intent into performant gameplay.
• Champion best practices and evaluate new engine technologies to benefit the project.
