Job summary

Pixel Toys, based in Leamington Spa, is seeking a Senior Programmer to lead the technical quality of our games. You will own architectural development of features, with an initial focus on audio systems, using Unity and C# to deliver high-performance experiences on mobile platforms.

You will collaborate with engineers and leads to translate creative intent into robust game systems, perform profiling and optimization, and mentor the team to uphold high standards.

Qualifications

• Seasoned game engineer with production experience and strong Unity/C# expertise.
• Excellent knowledge of architecture, coding standards, and optimisation techniques.
• Proficient in FMOD and audio pipelines integrated into game codebase.
• Experience delivering a commercially released title across full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Own the planning and architectural development of features and complex systems, with focus on audio.
• Profile, optimize, and ensure performance of critical code across mobile hardware.
• Lead code reviews, mentor peers, and drive continuous improvement for quality and stability.
• Champion best practices in Unity/C#, and explore engine tech and AWS integration.
