Job description

Senior Underwriter Bridging

Location: 25 mins from St Pancras overground station (5 min walk to the office)

Work Arrangement: Fridays work from home

Nouvo is excited to partner with this leading finance organization, which has experienced mergers and growth in the past 18 months. Due to business expansion, they are seeking a Senior Underwriter to ensure applications are processed and approved within company and FCA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage a pipeline of bridging cases and prioritize accordingly
2. Underwrite bridging loan applications within the company's lending criteria by making quality lending decisions
3. Be vigilant when working on cases and refer where necessary to the appropriate person
4. Maintain high communication levels with interested parties including brokers, applicants, surveyors, and solicitors
5. Collaborate closely with other departments such as sales, compliance, finance, and collections
6. Oversee a loan post-completion and follow up on offer conditions before handing the loan to collections
7. Stay updated with current best practices and regulatory requirements
8. Represent the company at events as required
9. Attend broker training sessions
10. Train and mentor junior staff members
