Job summary

Sacyr is seeking a Legal Counsel for its UK & Ireland operations, based in London. You will provide pragmatic legal support for major infrastructure projects, negotiate contracts, manage risk, and guide project teams through disputes, with close collaboration with Madrid and senior management.

The role requires on-site presence in London, willingness to travel, and a track record of advising on construction and procurement in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales or equivalent qualification.
• 5–10 years' substantial legal experience in construction/infrastructure.
• Experience in construction, PPP, concessions and water infra.
• Experience in transport, healthcare or major public infra sectors.
• Strong drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction and commercial contracts.
• Practical knowledge of NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, pragmatic legal advice on construction, infra projects in the UK & Ireland.
• Review, draft and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts and related documents.
• Advise on procurement strategy, risk allocation and contract interpretation.
• Support contract administration, change control, claims management, dispute avoidance/resolution.
• Manage construction claims and disputes, including adjudication/arbitration/mediation.
• Work with external counsel to develop dispute strategies and protect the company position.
• Provide specialist advice on NEC contracts and related forms.
