Job summary

Codurance seeks a Senior TypeScript Engineer to design, build, and operate Node.js services on AWS serverless in a FinTech context. You will join a cross-functional team and own delivery from architecture to production with a strong emphasis on correctness and reliability.

In this six-month contract role, you will mentor engineers, contribute to documentation, and help maintain SLAs while working in a flexible hybrid setup across London or other UK locations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a senior contract engineer on financial platforms.
Strong skills in Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS serverless.
Experience with event-driven architectures and document databases (MongoDB).
Ability to design, build, and run services in production with ownership.
Experience mentoring engineers and working in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate services within your domain, from architecture through to delivery
Take accountability for the SLAs of what you ship, and keep improving it
Write and maintain useful documentation for your services
Mentor and guide other engineers
Explain how the system works to non-technical colleagues
Judge when 'good enough for now' is the right call
Work openly with product and operations, and challenge ideas constructively
