Job summary

Bradford Corporation is seeking a senior tutor to provide peripatetic teaching and learning across the district, including schools and employer sites. You will support accessible learning with specialist tutors for English, maths, ICT, and employability, tailored to SEND learners and their employers.

You will ensure all training aligns with EHCP regulations and contractual requirements, using assistive strategies and adaptive technologies to maximise achievement and retention for diverse

Qualifications

• Experience delivering training to SEND learners across diverse settings.
• Proven ability to deliver peripatetic teaching across multiple locations.
• Ability to ensure training complies with EHCP regulations and safeguarding policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver peripatetic teaching and learning services across the district.
• Support accessible learning courses with specialist tutors (English, maths, ICT, employability).
• Adhere to EHCP regulations and contract/awarding body requirements during training and assessments.
• Monitor progress and adapt learning to individual needs.

We are looking for a senior tutor:

To provide a peripatetic teaching and learning service to a wide range of learners including families, unemployed and employed adults in a variety of settings across the district, including Schools, employer premises and community settings.

To support the delivery of accessible learning courses by specialist tutors, including English, maths, ICT, and employability skills, tailored specifically to meet the diverse needs of SEND learners and their employers. This may include small group work or individual intervention programmes. To ensure full compliance with contract, awarding body, and individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) regulations during all training and assessments.

To implement individualised, practical training experiences that incorporate assistive strategies and adaptive technologies to support each learner's unique abilities. To closely monitor, review, and celebrate progress against personalised milestones to maximise retention and ensure timely achievement.
