The Role

We’re inviting applications for a Senior Transport Planner to join the London Transport Planning team. We have a long-established, stable team working on significant development projects across London and the south.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare Transport Statements and Assessments, Travel Plans, and transport chapters of Environmental Statements.
2. Manage tasks and projects, ensuring effective communication within the team.
3. Represent the company in meetings with clients, planners, architects, and contractors.
4. Contribute to site access designs and masterplans, considering all modes of transport.
5. Follow the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) on all projects.
6. Manage project resources efficiently.
7. Provide technical support and training to Transport Planners and Graduates.

Ideal Candidate

1. Hold a relevant degree (or equivalent) and be actively working towards a professional qualification.
2. Have significant experience as a Transport Planner, ideally in a consultancy environment.
3. Be comfortable managing multiple client expectations and participating in project meetings.
4. Be commercially aware with some understanding of project finances.
5. Be numerate, able to analyze datasets, and proficient with junction modelling software such as JUNCTIONS and LinSig (or equivalent).
6. Have an understanding of current design standards, able to lead design reviews, and undertake basic design work using AutoCAD (or equivalent).
