Job summary

WR Logistics in Bognor Regis is seeking a Senior Transport Operations Manager to support the Transport Manager, overseeing day-to-day transport activity and driving efficiency as the business grows. You will lead and support a team of drivers, ensure compliance with hours, tachographs, and Operator Licence requirements, and work to improve systems and introduce new transport technology.

Qualifications

• Experience in road haulage, fleet operations or transport management.
• CPC Transport Manager - National & International.
• Knowledge of Operator Licence requirements and UK transport legislation.
• Experience managing drivers within a busy transport operation.
• Experience with drivers' hours, tachographs and WTD.
• Strong health & safety and compliance knowledge.
• Experience managing subcontractors and agency drivers.
• Hands-on, calm and solutions-focused approach.
• Experience improving processes, systems or transport operations.
• Experience within specialist, time-critical, events or complex transport operations would be an advantage.

This is a key senior role within a fast-paced operation, working closely with the Transport Manager to oversee day-to-day transport activity while helping to improve systems, processes and operational efficiency as the business continues to grow.

About You:
