Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a skilled Senior Transport Operator to join our roaming transport team. The role involves coordinating transport administration and the day-to-day running of multiple contracts across various sites in the UK.

You will oversee transport operations, drive improvements, and provide operational support as part of a growing network. The position offers exposure to diverse contracts in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Previous Transport operations experience in Transport and Logistics
• Knowledge of UK geography and routes advantageous
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and able to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transport activities across peak and off-peak periods
• Lead day-to-day transport operations and driver debriefs
• Engage with customers to maintain high service standards
• Support drivers and ensure compliance and continuous improvement
• Maximise fleet utilisation through proactive planning
• Produce regular KPI and operational reports and analyses
• Handle queries via email, phone, and in person
• Provide hands-on support during breakdowns or disruptions
• Collaborate within the team to maintain a high-performing environment
