Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd. is seeking a proactive Transport Operator to join our transport team in Bridgwater. You will manage all aspects of transport administration and coordinate day-to-day operations for a nationwide driver coverage.

Based in Bridgwater, the role emphasises planning, driver coordination, reporting, and customer engagement to maintain high service standards in a fast-paced environment. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Transport operations experience in transport and logistics.
• Knowledge of Manpack traffic system is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong UK geographical knowledge and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transport activities across peak and off-peak periods.
• Lead daily transport operations and driver debriefs.
• Build relationships with customers to maintain service standards.
• Support driver coordination for compliance and performance.
• Maximise fleet utilisation through proactive planning.
• Produce regular operational reports and KPI analyses.
• Handle queries via email, phone, and in person.
• Provide hands-on support during breakdowns or disruptions.
