Job summary

Steer is seeking a Traffic Modeller & Analyst to join its London-based team and deliver a broad portfolio of transport modelling and analysis projects using VISSIM, LinSig, and related tools.

You will support senior staff through the project lifecycle from feasibility to delivery, contributing to multi-modal highway solutions and bespoke analyses using AI tools, Excel, R or Python where advantageous.

Qualifications

• Be comfortable working in creative multi-disciplinary teams and provide positive contributions in resolving complex design problems.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience leading work streams and managing tasks within projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical input and undertake multi-modal modelling assessments with support from our Lead modellers.
• Lead work streams within projects with supervision, ensuring best practice techniques are applied consistently.
• Deliver high quality highway and transportation analysis as part of multi-disciplinary teams across a range of transport projects.
• Manage sub consultants and support staff assigned on a project basis as required.
• Take responsibility to deliver key tasks on a range of projects.
• Prepare and present reports, proposals, briefing notes and design reports.
• Manage project budgets exercising effective financial and budgetary control.
• Take part in training to develop both technical and consultancy skills.
