Job summary

Arup looks for experienced Transport Modellers to join its Transport Consulting team in the UK. You will develop strategic transport models, forecast future conditions and test mitigation scenarios across high‑profile schemes.

You will work with senior modellers and project managers through the modelling lifecycle, from data analysis to reporting and client engagement, with opportunities to contribute internationally and grow your career in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport modelling across highways, public transport and/or multimodal models.
• Proficiency with VISUM, SATURN, CUBE or MATSim including model development, calibration and validation.
• Strong data analysis, reporting and technical note writing with clear presentation.
• Excellent communication and ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic transport models and forecasting for future conditions.
• Test mitigation scenarios and undertake scheme assessment across projects.
• Cover the full modelling lifecycle from data analysis and model development to reporting, visualisation and client engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and geographies, supporting UK and international projects as required.
