Job summary

Bidfood UK is recruiting a Transport Manager for their Slough operation. The role leads a team of drivers, managers and admin staff in a full-time, permanent capacity at Bidfood Slough.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, coach a large driver team, and drive a strong health and safety culture within the transport department. The position involves coordinating maintenance, incident investigations and ensuring fleet availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Transport Manager or senior transport leadership role.
• National or International CPC qualification.
• Experience managing a large HGV fleet and driver teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with transport legislation, including Operator Licence, Driver Hours, and Working Time Regulations.
• Develop and coach a team of drivers, transport team managers and administrative colleagues.
• Drive health, safety, and compliance culture within the department.
• Investigate incidents, manage corrective actions and ensure robust compliance processes.
• Manage a large fleet of HGV vehicles with maintenance scheduling and availability.
