Job summary

Southern Water seeks a Senior Manager Transformation Portfolio to lead governance, performance insight and benefits realisation across its transformation portfolio. You will partner with senior leaders to support investment decisions, challenge delivery, and realise value from complex change programs.

The role combines strategic planning with hands-on portfolio management, including roadmap maintenance, risk control and executive reporting.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in portfolio governance, benefits realisation and investment management.
• Experience managing complex portfolios with multiple programmes and change initiatives.
• Proven ability to produce executive-level reporting, dashboards and insights.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.

• Lead portfolio governance, reporting and performance management across transformation initiatives.
• Maintain transformation portfolio roadmap and support prioritisation and optimisation activities.

Working closely with senior leaders across the business, you'll provide oversight, challenge and recommendations to support investment decisions, delivery performance and the successful realisation of transformation outcomes.**What you will be responsible for:*** Leading portfolio governance, reporting and performance management across transformation initiatives.* Maintaining the transformation portfolio roadmap and supporting prioritisation and optimisation activities.* Identifying and managing portfolio-level risks, dependencies and opportunities.* Delivering high-quality executive reporting, dashboards and portfolio insight.* Assuring business cases, benefits forecasts and value realisation across the portfolio.* Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted portfolio management advisor.* Leading and developing a small team while driving portfolio management best practice and continuous improvement.**Additional Requirements specific to the role*** Occasional travel to Southern Water sites may be required.* Hybrid working in line with business requirements.* Line management responsibility for a small portfolio management team.**What you'll bring to the role****Essential*** Significant experience within Portfolio Management, PMO, Transformation, Business Change or Strategic Planning environments.* Experience managing complex portfolios comprising multiple programmes, projects and change initiatives.* Strong understanding of portfolio governance, benefits realisation, investment management and delivery assurance.* Experience producing executive-level reporting, dashboards and performance insights.* Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.* Experience leading and developing teams within portfolio, programme or transformation functions.**Desirable*** Experience within utilities, infrastructure, engineering or other highly regulated environments.* MoP, MSP, APM, Agile, PRINCE2 or equivalent professional qualifications.* Experience supporting strategic investment planning and business case governance.* Experience using enterprise portfolio management systems and reporting tools.* Experience driving portfolio digitisation, automation and data-led decision making.Interested?
