Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Joining Telent's Engineering Team, you'll be empowered to innovate and collaborate with technical experts, contributing to critical infrastructure connectivity and protection 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs of complex signalised junctions and crossings, including specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Develop complex MOVA Designs and Datasets
• Apply knowledge of standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Validate MOVA systems on complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with a fresh perspective on traffic signal solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specs
• Experience with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
