Job Description:

Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across a range of high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and drive solutions, working closely with technical experts dedicated to impactful work. Contribute to building and maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and protection 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision.
• Prepare technical designs of complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including technical specifications.
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and planning new designs.
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets.
• Ensure compliance with design standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual.
• Perform MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate has experience designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings and seeks to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role, bringing a fresh perspective to existing solutions in Traffic Signal Design.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN software.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications.
• Understanding of MOVA Tools, Datasets, and Linking.
• Familiarity with LinSig 3.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
