Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer in the UK (Remote)Job Description

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between remote work and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs of complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including technical specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Develop complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Apply knowledge of standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Validate MOVA systems for complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have experience designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings and is seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with a new perspective on existing solutions in Traffic Signal Design.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Experience with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
