Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between remote work and onsite presence, suitable for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Joining Telent's Engineering Team means being empowered to innovate, work closely with technical experts, and contribute to critical infrastructure that keeps the nation connected and protected 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and crossings following approved procedures, including specifications
• Provide technical oversight and contribute ideas for new products or services and design plans
• Prepare complex MOVA designs and datasets
• Apply knowledge of standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA validations on complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role, and bring fresh perspectives to traffic signal design solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Experience with LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
