Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - Ipswich, United Kingdom (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between remote work and onsite presence, suitable for surveys, design validation, and stakeholder engagement.

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working closely with technical experts. Contribute to building and maintaining critical infrastructure that connects and protects the nation 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Design technical plans for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, including specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Prepare complex MOVA designs and datasets
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Validate MOVA systems for complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings and seek to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role, bringing fresh perspectives to traffic signal design solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK driving license
