Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote) Job Description

We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between remote work and onsite presence, suitable for conducting surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, adhering to approved procedures, and draft technical specifications
• Provide technical oversight on new product or service ideas and plan designs
• Develop complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Ensure compliance with design standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA Validations on complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with a fresh perspective on existing Traffic Signal Design solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN software
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
