We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Track Systems Technician to join our Track Systems Team. You will be responsible for installing, deploying, and managing the F1 timing data acquisition and communications systems at race locations.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Install timing loops, beacons, and track temperature sensors on the track surface, involving manual work such as digging, soldering, and operating machinery and tools.
• Install, test, and terminate coaxial and multi-core twisted pair data cables used for communication systems.
• Perform fault finding on basic IT networks and cable systems.
• Read and interpret F1 Circuit drawings to ensure correct setup for races.
• Plan system installation, coordinate with other departments and external parties.
• Monitor and verify data flow using F1 software.

About You

• HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience fault finding on electrical/electronic wiring systems.
• Ability to read and work with wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Strong technical report writing skills.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP systems.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a live broadcast environment.
• Willingness to travel regularly for extended periods (1-3 weeks).
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Experience fault finding CAN-based communication systems.
• Basic knowledge of RF communication systems.
• Previous experience working in network IT environments.
