Carrington West is looking for an experienced Senior Town Planner to join a growing planning consultancy in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role offers flexible hybrid working, with three days in the office, and a salary between £35,000 and £45,000 plus benefits.

You’ll work within a close-knit team on diverse projects, taking ownership of your own work while collaborating with colleagues. The team handles environmental impact assessments, major applications, infrastructure, and strategic development,

Qualifications

• Experience in town planning, ideally in a consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
• Experience managing or contributing to planning applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proactive, commercially aware approach.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects within the town planning team.
• Manage planning applications and advise clients and stakeholders.
