Job summary

WSP UK is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our town planning and consenting team, supporting major and nationally significant infrastructure projects across the UK.

You will work within multi-disciplinary teams to prepare planning applications under the Town and Country Planning Act and related legislation, liaising with statutory bodies and stakeholders to secure consent for complex projects.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in town planning (or equivalent).
• Experience preparing planning applications under Town & Country Planning Act and related acts.
• Able to work in multi-disciplinary teams to secure consent and approvals.
• Member of (or eligible for) RTPI.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare Town & Country Planning Act applications for infrastructure projects across the UK.
• Support providing consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs etc).
• Assisting with providing technical advice to project managers to support client's requirements.
• Supporting liaison with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients to help deliver projects.
• Ability to engage with teams across a variety of disciplines, building positive relationships within the team.
• Proactively engages with developing own knowledge and skills to build ability and team’s internal knowledge base.
