Job summary

Morson Edge in Bristol is seeking an RTPI-qualified Planner or Senior Planner to join its established planning team. You will be embedded in project teams and act as a main client contact across diverse schemes.

The role offers ownership of planning work from feasibility to consent, collaboration with design and development colleagues, and opportunities to build long-term client relationships on major regional projects. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or related discipline.
• RTPI qualified or near chartership for Planner level.
• Experience in consultancy or local authority planning.
• Strong understanding of UK planning system and policy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organisational and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and/or lead planning applications, appeals and site appraisals
• Prepare planning reports, statements and supporting documents
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and external stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with internal and external multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to planning strategies for a range of development types
• Support consultation processes and engagement with local authorities
• Assist senior team members on complex and strategic planning projects
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
