Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Town and Country Planning professional to join our UK Environment Practice in Scotland. The role supports projects from Glasgow or Edinburgh with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

You will lead planning applications, provide strategic advice to clients, manage key relationships and mentor junior professionals while contributing to business growth across the consultancy.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
• Chartered status in planning.
• Proven experience within a planning consultancy environment or similar.
• Strong technical knowledge of the UK planning system and planning policy.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Leadership experience and the ability to manage and inspire teams.
• Flexible and able to work from multiple AtkinsRéalis or client locations.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a wide range of projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a broad range of planning applications and supporting documents for diverse development projects.
• Provide strategic planning advice to private sector clients.
• Offer planning strategy guidance from inception to delivery.
• Manage key client relationships and act as trusted advisor.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities to grow the consultancy.
