Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior Town Planner to join a private-sector planning consultancy near Banbury. The role offers hybrid working (2 days at home) and scope to progress to Associate Planner, working on a diverse portfolio across logistics, residential, agriculture, and energy projects.

You will join a 7-planner team, engaging with clients and stakeholders, and contributing to major development schemes while benefiting from professional development support.

Opportunities are available at Planner, Senior Planner and Associate Planner level, with the exact level and package being dependent on your experience and professional background.

The Team

You’ll be joining a planning team of 7 planners, working collaboratively across a broad range of private-sector projects.

The consultancy has a strong reputation for providing its planners with the opportunity to work across different sectors rather than becoming restricted to one particular project type.

Current and recent work includes:

• Large-scale logistics and employment schemes
• Residential developments
• Agricultural projects
• Renewable energy schemes
• A variety of other private-sector development and strategic planning projects

I am keen to speak with candidates at Planner, Senior Planner or Associate level who have experience within private-sector planning consultancy.

The successful candidates will ideally have experience working within private practice and be comfortable managing planning projects, engaging with clients and stakeholders, and working across a varied project portfolio. With RTPI Chartered status
