A respected and fast-growing independent property consultancy is seeking an ambitious Senior Town Planner to take a leading role within their dynamic, multidisciplinary team. This firm offers a truly personalised service to private clients, family businesses, and companies across the rural and development sectors-without the constraints of corporate red tape.

As Senior Town Planner, you will lead and deliver complex planning projects, guide junior team members, and play a key role in developing client relationships and generating new business. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team of chartered surveyors and agri-business consultants, tackling a diverse range of rural, residential, and commercial projects.
Lead all aspects of strategic and site-specific planning projects
Deliver planning advice across land promotion, local plan submissions, and development strategy
Prepare and submit planning applications and pre-application submissions
Manage consultant teams and oversee project execution
Advise on change of use, diversification, and rural development opportunities
Prepare and manage planning appeals, including written reps and hearings
Support business development and client acquisition efforts
Required:
Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in town planning
Strong working knowledge of planning policy, applications, and appeals
Excellent project management and communication skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines
Commercially aware with a client-first approach
RTPI accreditation (desirable but not essential with equivalent experience)
