Descripción del empleo

Responsible for the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs and processes across EMEA, supporting internal equity, external competitiveness and alignment with company policies and business objectives. The role combines compensation analysis and advice with ownership of annual compensation processes, job evaluation, market benchmarking, salary structures, incentive administration and compensation data integrity.

Works closely with global and regional Compensation and Benefits teams, local HR, HRIS, Finance, Payroll and business leaders. Leads compensation projects and supports Benefits and HRIS initiatives to ensure timely, accurate and effective delivery across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Job evaluation: Evaluate roles using Mercer’s (Marsh) job evaluation methodology. Recommend levels, grades and titles, document your rationale, and audit classifications for consistency.
  • Job architecture: Partner with HR and line managers to develop and review job descriptions. Keep job titles, grades, codes and classifications accurate across systems.
  • Pay decisions and advisory: Advise HR and business leaders on compensation policy and pay decisions. Recommend salary adjustments and promotional increases using market data, internal comparators and company guidelines, and review proposed changes against policy.
  • Market benchmarking: Lead market pricing studies and survey participation. Analyse results to assess competitiveness, and keep job matches and pricing data current in MarketPay.
  • Salary structures: Develop and maintain salary grades, ranges and pay structures. Review competitiveness each year and recommend changes backed by cost and incumbent analysis.
  • Annual compensation cycle: Run EMEA merit, promotion, bonus and equity processes with global and local teams. You will validate HRIS data for eligible Team Schein Members, prepare review materials, set timelines and manage approvals through to completion.
  • Data quality and reporting: Audit compensation data in Workday and related systems and resolve discrepancies. Produce analyses and reports that support pay decisions, audits and budgeting, and work with HRIS to improve system functionality and workflows.
  • Project leadership and partnership: Lead compensation projects end to end, from scope and timelines to resources and budget. Support Benefits and HRIS initiatives, coordinate virtual teams across countries, manage external providers, and take on other related projects as needed.
Specific Knowledge and Skills
  • Compensation expertise: Deep, hands-on knowledge of job evaluation, market pricing, survey analysis, salary structures and incentive plan administration.
  • Reward design: Experience designing salary structures, bonus and long-term incentive plans. Equity administration experience is a strong plus.
  • Analytical rigour: Advanced Excel skills and confident use of databases, reporting tools and Microsoft Office. You turn complex compensation data into clear, actionable recommendations and make sound decisions on your own.
  • Commercial acumen: You understand costs, budgets and the business impact of every reward decision, grounded in industry best practice and company policy.
  • Project leadership: You plan, prioritise and deliver multiple projects to deadline while coordinating contributors and sharing your expertise with colleagues.
  • Influence and communication: You present confidently to senior leaders and advise stakeholders. You negotiate well and handle sensitive or difficult compensation conversations with clarity and tact. You write and speak English excellently, and an additional language is a plus.
  • Global partnership: You build trusted relationships at every level and collaborate effectively across countries, functions and virtual teams.

Work Experience
  • Typically 5-7 years of progressively responsible compensation or related HR experience, including job evaluation, market benchmarking, salary structures, annual compensation cycles and incentive administration. Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and working with stakeholders across countries and functions. Equity administration experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. A master’s degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
  • Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment with no special physical demands.
