Senior Tool Design Engineer — Lead End-to-End Tooling

Job summary

AFD Systems is seeking a Design Engineer to contribute to our Turn‑Key tooling solutions, supporting the lifecycle from concept to final product delivery. You will check data, perform tool and component buyoffs, and assist with training, quotations, and project management.

Candidates should have a minimum of four years of relevant experience and a strong background in tool design, with emphasis on manufacturing support, DAS/DWG checks, and ergonomic considerations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in design engineering.
• Strong tool-design background from concept to final delivery.
• Ability to lifecycle support tooling from concept to in-service liaison.
• Ability to independently check CAD models, DWGs, BOMs, and ergonomics/HMI.
• Desirable knowledge of design for additive manufacture.

Responsibilities

• Check design data and validate integrity.
• Conduct component/tool check and buyoff.
• Provide support to manufacturing/design supply chains.
• Assist Design Manager with training, quotations, project management and customer liaison.
