Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join its specialist engineering team. You will design and develop cutting tools, tooling systems, and precision-engineered components for a range of industrial applications.

With 5+ years of mechanical design experience, you will create SolidWorks models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation, while driving products from concept through prototype to production and collaborating with production, CNC, and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer role.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and 2D CAD.
• Experience designing for manufacture in precision tooling or tooling environments.
• Knowledge of DFMA and materials, with good problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Design cutting tools, tooling systems, and precision components.
• Produce SolidWorks 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs.
• Drive development from concept to prototype and production.
• Apply engineering principles to improve performance and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with production, CNC, and commercial teams.
• Support continuous improvement and new product introduction.
• Translate customer requirements into practical designs.
