Job summary

You will balance teaching requirements, staff availability, room capacity, and student needs while developing practical, sustainable improvements. You will collaborate with Programme Directors and the Data team, handling timetabling software like Unit-e or Celcat, ensuring accurate information and smooth room bookings.

Qualifications

• Experience in timetabling, complex scheduling, or space planning within education.
• Ability to coordinate all stages of timetabling lifecycle.
• Interpret teaching requirements and develop workable timetables.
• Balance staff availability, room capacity, and student needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, creation, publication, and maintenance of the central timetable.
• Coordinate and review teaching requirements from programme directors and course teams.
• Translate requirements into deliverable timetables.
• Identify and resolve timetable clashes and constraints.
• Balance staff availability, room capacity, and student experience.
• Manage timetable amendments, queries, and room bookings.
• Maintain accurate information in timetabling systems.
• Support room allocation and space utilisation.
• Review and improve timetabling processes and workflows.
• Assist the wider Data team with data administration tasks.
