Tata Technologies Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Design Engineer - Thermal Systems to lead the design and development of automotive cooling system components from concept through to production release.

You will own assigned components, ensuring design, packaging, interfaces and manufacturability meet the program requirements while coordinating with Thermal Systems, CAE, Manufacturing, Suppliers and Programme teams.

Competenze

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant automotive design engineering experience in a multi-disciplinary OEM or Tier 1 environment.
• Strong experience with CATIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX).
• Good understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing principles.
• Experience working with suppliers and manufacturing teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Mansioni

• Design and develop automotive cooling system components and assemblies.
• Translate system-level thermal and packaging requirements into robust component designs.
• Produce and maintain engineering drawings, specifications and design documentation.
• Manage design data according to configuration-management processes.
• Apply GD&T, datum strategies and tolerance principles.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and suppliers to ensure design feasibility.
• Support design reviews and technical gateways.
• Understand manufacturing processes such as Injection moulding, aluminium casting, machining, welding/brazing.
